Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had lost control over the government and the civil administration resulting in anarchy.
He said the state secretariat had turned into a den of corruption and there was no let-up in the spread of coronavirus across the state.
“Corruption has become a cottage industry under the BJP rule and even the state secretariat has become the centre of corruption where senior and responsible officers are running a racket of cheating people in the name of providing jobs and big contracts,” the SP chief said here on Monday.
“Is this the new standard of zero tolerance towards corruption set by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,” he asked, alleging that BJP ministers were also involved in the racket.
“There is no possibility of improvement in the state administration under the present chief minister and it will be in the best interest of the state if the chief minister resigns and returns to the Mutt at Gorakhpur,” Akhilesh Yadav said.
