Under the 'Gamak' series a lecture by Amod Bhatt and musical presentation of BV Karanth were held on Friday at Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum.
The presentation began with musical presentation of B V Karanth's plays. First performance was in Kannada and Hindi drama Hai Vadan Ki Ganapathi Vandana, Pyar Ke Do Baina (drama- Ghasiram Kotwal), Chalo Kunj in Galin (drama-holi), Ah Vedana Mili farewell (drama- Skanda Gupta), Parsi Dancer.
Maryada (drama-dark era), Comedy-oriented songs - Do Malik ka tala (drama - Two casters), Kannada comedy songs - Donku The last song of Valad Nayi Kar (Kannada drama - Sattavar Nerdu) and the drama Mahanirivan which featured Bhaurao's narrative - Saas Chali Pandharpur, Do Pag Chal Lauti Ghar halted the performance from the song.
On stage vocals Subhashree Bhatt was accomapnied on tabla by Sunil Bhatt, on dholak by Ravi Rao, Parshan and Narration Anoop Joshi (Bunty) on flute, Virendra Kore and Suyash Bhatt on guitar.
During lecture Bhatt explained in detail about the process of making the music of B and Karant and its use in plays. He said that defining B and Karant is an attempt to catch water in a handful of hands. His identity in the color world was that, he was his colorful music, he used to break the mattress from rough to rough and he used to extract the juices stream of sweet music in it.
Bhatt received his early education in music from his mother. Bhatt, after getting the education of theatrical music from B. and Karant. Sangeet Prabhakar in Singing and Tabla from Bhopal, you are currently working as a Rang Sangeet director in Mumbai and engage in music teaching. You have received the 2014 Sangeet Natak Academy Award.
