Flower petals were showered by Indian Armed forces at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Sunday as a mark of gratitude to the frontline health workers who were rendering yeoman service in the ongoing fight against the dreaded coronavirus pandemic.
Doctors, nurses, ward boys and paramedical staff lined up on the hospital premises and acknowledged the Defence forces gesture.
“Military bands also played “patriotic tunes” outside the hospital treating coronavirus patients after which armed forces representative felicitated Covid warriors of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital,” the hospital administration said in a statement, adding that Indian Air Force showered flower petals on the hospital while fighter jets flew over the hospital as mark of respect to COVID-19 warriors.
According to Dr D S Rana , Chairman, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, " We are thankful to our Armed Forces to increase the moral of our healthcare workers in this fight against Covid-19. Sir Ganga Ram Hospital has been in forefront with the government in the fight against Covid-19.
