Two persons were arrested for misbehaving with and manhandling an Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) worker in Takiya area of Bhauriganj locality in Gonda on Monday.
As per reports, ASHA worker Beena Yadav reached Takiya area to collect data and make a list of people who had recently returned from other states and countries as part of the protocol to combat coronavirus spread.
While most people were sharing their information, a few resisted and abused Beena Yadav verbally and tore the documents she was carrying.
“I went for a survey to prepare a list of people returning from other states and abroad. Some people gave me inputs peacefully while some others verbally abused me, tore my register and manhandled me,” the ASHA worker said.
