Assembly run to be limited due to virus

In the all-party meeting, after consultation with the 39 sitting Vidhan Sabha members, mainly affected by Covid-19, in view of the death of Biora MLA Govardhan Singh Dangi, it was decided that due to Covid-19, the proposed session of the Legislative Assembly would be limited to necessary financial and legislative work committee presence.

At the all party meeting convened under the chairmanship of Protem Speaker Shri Rameshwar Sharma  Leader of the House Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Leader of Opposition. Kamal Nath, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra, Urban Administration Minister Bhupendra Singh, Former Minister MLA Vijayalakshmi Sadhau, Former Minister, MLA PC Sharma, Legislative Assembly Principal Secretary AP Singh and Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Mohammad Sulemaan and other officials were present.

On 21 September, official work will be done along with the mention of deaths. Questions received on September 21,22, 23, call attention, Zero Hour notifications will be received in writing to the members. The session will be completed by meeting the presence of both the parties on the basis of consent. In view of Covid-19, Rapid Test of Corona in Allopathic Hospital located in the Legislative Assembly Secretariat will be done with the support of Health Department of all legislative members and staff of Legislative Assembly Secretariat mandatorily.

Additional Chief Secretary Mohd Sulemaan gave a presentation  regarding Covid-19 and shared information about the alternative arrangement made by Madhya Pradesh Government Health Department.
