In another move to combat the COVID-19, the State Government has decided to impart training to AYUSH personnel on coronavirus.
It has been decided that 1,620 AYUSH personnel, including doctors, PG and undergraduate students (final year and 3rd year), SN, LTI and ANM, would be imparted training on COVID-19 immediately.
Health Department Secretary Nikunja Bihari Dhal has written a letter in this regard to all District Ayurveda Medical Officers (DAMOs) and District Homoeopathic Medical Officers (DHMO).
The Health and Family Welfare Department is developing training materials for the purpose, official sources said.
“The DAMO/DHMO shall work as a wing officer, AYUSH under the administrative control of CDM & PHO and the entire AMO/HMO work force shall be assigned duties in healthcare institutions/quarantine centers or any appropriate place as decided by CDM & PHO in consultation with the Collector and DAMO/DHMO,” the official mentioned in the letter.
