The Merchant Association, Padampur of Bargarh district led by its president Pratap Mishra submitted a memorandum to the Bargarh Collector through the Sub-Collector on Friday demanding relaxation of shutdown and lockdown restrictions in the locality.
In the memorandum, they said that the Central and State Governments have declared shutdown and lockdown for last four months as a result of which many small and medium establishments have been paralysed. The general public has been facing many difficulties as their livelihood has been adversely affected.
Now the Central Government has relaxed some restrictions. In view of this, the merchant body requested the Collector to permit them to open their shop and business establishment.
Among others, Nandakishor Agrawal, Rabinarayan Dora were present.
Padampur Sub-Collector Tanmaya Kumar Darwan received the memorandum and assured that he would put up the demands before the Collector.
