Mukul Prasad, Executive Director (Personnel and Administration), BSL, launched the first issue of the e-magazine Steel Business Scenario (April-May) compiled by the Business Excellence (BE) Department.
This is a bi-monthly e-magazine for internal distribution in SAIL. The magazine contains various chapters like world steel business scenario, Indian steel business scenario, national and international steel news, news clippings, news of various SAIL steel plants during the Covid-19 epidemic.
General Manager (BE) Anupama Tiwari and General Manager (BE) B. Banerjee were instrumental in the news compilation and launch of e-magazine.
Also In the backdrop of the Digital India program of the Central Government, BSL is poised to implement paperless work culture in all its offices. Under this campaign, Director in-charge (M & H) Dr. AK Singh, ED (P & A) Mukul Prasad, ED (Projects) R. Kushwaha, ED (MM) VK Pandey, ED (F& A), DK Saha and ED (Operations) AtanuBhowmick, Assistant General Manager (C&IT) were present.
PK Surya gave information on the paperless methodology software.There is a plan to implement paperless methodology in BSL in a phased manner.
This software has been made from internal resources by Surya using SAP technology under the guidance of GM (C&IT) Pramod Kumar. After the implementation this system will prove to be effective in increasing efficiency and transparency in addition to keeping important documents securely locked in electronic files.
