Sunday, 12 July 2020 | PNS | SUNDARGARH

The Bonai Sub-Divisional Hospital authorities on Saturday closed the Outpatient Department (OPD) for an indefinite period after a staff tested Covid-19 positive.

However, patients requiring emergency care would be allowed for treatment at the hospital. All other services would remain suspended, informed the SDMO.

Notably, Sundargarh district has been witnessing a sudden hike in positive cases in the last couple of days with Bonai sub-division reporting over 15 cases so far.

The district’s total tally now stands at 616, including 405 active cases. While 209 patients have recovered from the disease, one has succumbed to the virus.
