BR Ambedkar varsity holds web lecture on ‘Covid-19 unique challenge for Police’

A special Web lecture on Covid-19- Unique Challenge for the Police, was organized by BR Ambedkar University of Social Sciences, Ambedkar Nagar (Mhow) on Saturday under the web lecture series.

Eminent Speaker  Harinarayan Chari Mishra, DIG, Indore Range, said that the global pandemic Covid 19 brought many unexpected challenges for the police in the city of Indore with a population of about 3.5 million   to stop this catastrophe.

The biggest internal challenge before the police was to protect oneself from being infected and to prevent the spread of the Pandemic. At the same time, efforts were also made to maintain the morale of the policemen in order to succeed  under adverse circumstances.

The task of controlling the social spread of corona on sensitive areas was carried out through CCTV and Drone Cameras. The cases of cybercrime during this period  was also put under control. Awareness Programmes were also organised through Nukkad plays, messages, scientific action.

A Crisis Management Team was formed for reviewing the situation from time to time. Due to the joint efforts of Dial 100, Citizen Cops, Municipal Safety Committee, public representatives, we have made remarkable results for the awareness, sensitivity and vigilance of the public against the Covid-19.

Prof Asha Shukla, Vice Chancellor, of BRAUSS, MHOW while delivering the Presidential Address said that at the time  of Covid 19, the police and administration have done innovative experiments showing humanity and sensitivity.

Police Department have relentlessly worked 24x7 to prevent the outbreak of Covid-19 with compassion, humanity and sensitivity risking their own life which is very divine and appreciable.

Prof Kishore John, Dean said that  we remained safe in our houses due to the hard work and sacrifices of the Police Department. Innovative campaigns introduced by the district administration and the Police like Corona Diet, Sanjeevani Yojana, Chakravyuh Yojana were very successful. Prof DK Verma Director, Research, Extension and Training expressed gratitude and appreciated the social concern of the Police Department during the time of global epidemic.
