Online Singing, Music Competition at ICFAI

An “Online Singing and Music Competition” was conducted by ICFAI University, Jharkhand on Tuesday. The event received overwhelming response, wherein over 32 students and faculty members not only from the University but also other educational institutions and working professionals from various organisations in and outside Ranchi, actively participated through Video Conferencing and sang songs in Hindi, Bengali and English. They also included some Mesh-up songs. The program was thoroughly enjoyed by all the online viewers. Awards were declared for the top three singers. First, Second and Third prizes went to Advika Ranjan, Abhishek Kumar and Swapnishi and Trisha Deep respectively.

 

Vehicles seized by SBI, SARB

State Bank of India SARB, Ranchi today seized various vehicles including JH02AM7043 (Owner Abhijeet Pandey), JH02AS7107 (Owner Jitendra Kumar Pandey), JH02AU6927 (Owner Md Alim Ansari), JH01BM8369, JH01BM940 (Owner Rakesh Kumar), NL01G9975 (Owner Abhay Kumar Singh). These all vehicles will possibly be auctioned soon.

 

Massive fire at Jaridih bazar

A massive fire broke out in a hardware goods and plywood godown at Jaridih bazar here on Tuesday morning. Fire officials said 4 to 6 tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames. The blaze that engulfed the godown on the top floor of the four-storeyed building did not spread to other floors. Gandhi Nagar police station in-Charge Pankaj Kashyap said as the inferno was big; they had to deploy more than four fire tenders, including one from Bokaro, two from BokaroThermal, one from Tenughat and one from Gomia IEL. Kashyap said luckily no one suffered any injuries and apparently the fire was caused by a short circuit, but things would become clear after proper investigation.

 

C S Ghosh, FIT, NEFIT donate over Rs 50 crore

Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, in individual capacity, along with Financial Inclusion Trust (FIT) and North East Financial Inclusion Trust (NEFIT) have come forward to support the food requirements of the marginalised communities. For the same, the three have contributed Rs 25 crores to various state governments. Another sum of Rs  25,01,00,001 has been contributed to the PM-CARES Fund. Considering Rs 1,000 can provide food requirements for each family for 15 days, the total contribution of over Rs 50,01,00,000 would serve over 5 lakh families across the country.
