A food distribution campaign was carried out at Namkum Basti, near BSNL Exchange Sector-2 and near BSNL BTS by BSNL Jharkhand Circle officials for the third time to help the needy during the time of Lockdown 3 due to coronavirus.
Food items containing 5 kg rice, 1/2 kg lentils, 1/4 liter refined oil, ½ kg soybean, 1 kg salt, bath and washing soap were distributed to the needy people in the vicinity. Under this campaign, ration were distributed between 220 needy people on April 30 and April under the chairmanship of Geeta Banerjee, Chief General Manager, Jharkhand Telecom Circle, BSNL. In this series rations were distributed among 25 needy near Exchange Sector-2 and 100 needy near Namkum Basti, near BSNL BTS. Other officers and employees of BSNL, Jharkhand were also present on the occasion.
For the success of these events, funds are being given by BSNL Jharkhand Circle and all SSA officials. In this event Laxman Bhuian, Vikash Kumar Gupta, Sunil Kumar Mishra and Junul Bodra played the lead roles. These people further told that there are plans to continue such programmes even further.
The CGMT said that BSNL is always ready to serve people whether in celebrations or disaster.:
