The Chhattisgarh Health Department on Friday fixed rates of CT scan for private hospitals and labs -- Rs 1,870 for CT Chest without contrast for lungs and Rs 2,354 with contrast for lungs.
The rate of high-resolution HRCT investigation required during Covid-19 treatment has been fixed, an official press release said.
“As per the order released by the Health Department, Rs 1,870 will be charged for CT Chest without contrast for lungs (and) Rs 2,354 will be charged for CT Chest with contrast for lungs,” it said.
The order said that all private hospitals and labs offering Covid treatment must charge the fee prescribed by the government. Also, only essential investigation should be carried out as per Covid protocol set by the ICMR and the government.
Further, the RT-PCR/True-Nat and antigen test will be done only at ICMR and state government authorized hospitals and labs.
Violation of these directives will attract penalty under the Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 and the Chhattisgarh Epidemic Diseases Covid-19 Regulation Act 2020, the press release said.
