In view of a spike in Covid-19 cases, the Health Department has released fresh classification of Red, Orange, Green and 44 containment zones across Chhattisgarh, officials said on Friday.
The zones have been identified as per the guidelines issued by the union Health and Family Welfare Ministry.
The zones are marked Red, Orange or Green based on the number of active Covid-19 cases, the rate at which it is doubling and samples being tested per 1 lakh population.
The classification has been done on May 22 and it will be reviewed every Monday, officials said.
As per official information, Daundilohara block in Balod district; Takhatpur and Masturi block in Bilaspur district; and Korba block of Korba district have been declared Red zones.
The blocks in Orange zones are: Balod and Dundi in Balod district; Baloda, Bahmanidh, Dhabra, Jaijaipur, Malkharoda, Navagarh, Sakti in Janjgir district; Bhatapara, Bilaigarh, Simga, Palari, Kasdol in Balod Bazar district; Kilepal, Nangur and Bakawand in Bastar district; Navagarh in Bemetara; Bhairamgarh in Bijapur district; Geedam in Dantewada; Gujara, Kurud, Magarlod, Nagri, Dhamtari city in Dhamtari district; Patam and Nikum in Durg district; Lormi and Mungli block in Mungeli district; Lailunga, Dharamjaigarh in Raigarh district; Mohla, Ghumka, Chhuria, Dongargaon and Dongargarh in Rajnandgaon district; Mainpat, Ambikapur, Batoli, Lakhanpur, Lundra, Udaipur, Sitapur block in Surguja district; Durgukondal, Kanker, Bhanupratappur in Kanker district; Abhanpur, Arang, Dharsiva, Raipur urban in Raipur district; Kusmi, Rajpur, Shankargarh, Ramanujgunj, Wadrafnagar in Balrampur district; Rajim block in Gariaband district; Pattalgaon, Bagicha in Jashpur district, Farasgaon in Kondagaon district; Bharatpur, Khadgawan in Korea district; Bagbahara, Mahasamund, Pithora, Basna, Saraipali in Mahasamund district; Surajpur, Odgi, Ramanuj Nagar in Surajpur district; Sahaspur-Lohara, Pandaria in Kawardha district; Kota, Bilha and Bilaspur city in Bilaspur district; Baramkela, Sarangarh, Kharsia, Lailunga, Dharamjaigarh, Raigarh city in Raigarh district.
All other blocks are in the Green zone, officials said.
