City parks reopen after 2 months

Monday, 25 May 2020 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

After being closed for over two months due to the nationwide lockdown for Covid-19 outbreak, four major parks in the State capital reopened on Sunday.

Buddha Jayanti Park, Madhusudan Das Park, Indira Gandhi Park and Forest Park in the city would henceforth remain open from 7 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 6 pm every day.

However, visitors to the parks have been asked to maintain distancing (minimum 2 metres of distance) and wear facemasks mandatorily.

Besides, spitting has been prohibited in the parks and violators of the rule would be penalised.

Notably, as before during the lockdown, use of the open-air gyms equipments in the parks has been banned.
