Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has approved a sum of Rs 15 crore to strengthen arrangements in the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC). Further, Rawat also approved a sum of Rs two crore each for the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) and Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN).
The CM has approved these amounts to develop sources of income in these three corporations which have experienced a drop in their sources of income due to the lockdown enforced to control the spread of Covid-19.
Rawat also directed the finance secretary to issue orders to this effect soon. He said that this amount will considerably compensate for the loss sustained by these corporations and also help in their work operation.
