Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday extended an invitation to former Congress President Rahul Gandhi to participate in the ‘State Foundation Day’ celebrations ‘Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav-2020’ on November 1.
Baghel visited New Delhi on Thursday.
According to an official communication, during an interaction with Rahul Gandhi, the Chief Minister said due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the functions have been curtailed and there will be brief events.
The ‘State Award Ceremony’ and the release of the third instalment of ‘Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana’ will take place.
Meanwhile, before leaving for Delhi, the Chief Minister told the media said the state was reporting a rise in Covid-19 cases but now this was slowing down. Due to the pandemic, many works could not be taken up. Now they will start one by one.
He added that after Chhattisgarh in-charge P.L. Punia recovers, a meeting will be held to finalzse the second list of Boards and Corporations.
