In a major relief to businessmen, the Raipur district administration has decided to open various business centres in the city including the Pandri cloth market and Malviya Road, officials said on Sunday.
Only six wholesale shops at the Pandri cloth market will open and that too only for two days each in a week (between Monday and Thursday), officials said, adding that the market association will decide which shops will open when.
On a pre-decided day, shops in one row will do business and the next day shops in the next row will open. This will take place again the next two days.
Likewise, on Monday and Wednesday, shops on the left row of Kotwali Chowk, Malviya Road, will open. On Tuesday and Thursday, the shops on the opposite row will function.
Car-bike servicing shops will operate from Monday till Friday, from 9 am till 3 pm. Auto and Agri Industrial spare parts, domestic repairing (electrician, plumber), IT cable and tyre shops will also function in the same time frame.
Hardware, paint, sanitary, marble, tiles, cement, iron, shoes and cloth shops will open only on Monday and Thursday, from 9 am till 3 pm.
Electricals, optical shops, stationary, cooler, fan, RO and water filter shops will open on Tuesday and Friday from 9 am to 3 pm.
