Hazaribag district administration has declared complete lockdown for a week in the whole of the district. After Deputy Commissioner Bhuvanesh Pratap Singh’s order the district border has been sealed. Lockdown will be effective from July 15 to 22. The secretariat of Hazaribag has also been sealed for complete sanitization of the offices and campus.
The DC said in a press meet through video conferencing on Tuesday that the situation of town and adjacent areas is not very encouraging. The district administration has taken the declaration of complete lockdown for the safety of the public. He advised the public to sanitize their areas properly, use masks and maintain the social distancing norms.
Incidentally, out of 33 samples taken by the medical team of DC residence, 14 were found positive along with DC’s two-year-old daughter.
On Tuesday 41 persons were confirmed as positive in the district. Active cases are now 115 in the district, while the total number of cases reached to 303.
Hazaribagh Medical College and Hospital Superintendent Sanjay Sinha said that all the 14 positive patients from the DC residence office have been admitted to HMCH, while 21 persons were found positive during contact tracing. All positive persons belong to the town area.
Sinha said that 197 patients have been released from the hospital after their recovery. Two Corona positive patients are under treatment in other hospitals of Ranchi. One more person died last night in Covid hospital. Now total death has reached 4, he said.
