The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Pritam Singh has strongly condemned the Uttar Pradesh (UP) Government for registering a FIR against the in-charge of the Uttarakhand Congress, Anugrah Narayan Singh in Allahabad. He said that on Friday Anugrah Narayan Singh along with his 13 associates sat on Dharna to protest against charging of fares from the migrants. He said that the case was registered against Anugrah Narayan Singh for staging a protest which is unfortunate and highly condemnable act. The PCC president said that BJP is determined to crush the voices of dissent and those who are talking in favour of labourers. He said that this plan of BJP would never become successful. Singh added that Congress leaders and workers would not get cowed down by the oppressive action against opposition leaders in the BJP ruled states. He claimed that the action against in charge of Uttarakhand Congress has triggered a wave of anger among the Congress party workers and many leaders and office bearers have expressed their anguish on the development. The leader of opposition in Uttarakhand assembly Indira Hridayesh, deputy leader of Congress legislative party, Karan Mahra, general secretary organization of Uttarakhand Congress Vijay Saraswat, vice president Surya Kant Dhasmana, Manish Khanduri, spokesperson Garima Dassauni, former MLA Ranjit Rawat and many leaders have expressed their anger over the act of filing a FIR against the in -charge of Uttarakhand Congress.
