Congress assures Palamu's road accident victims of relief

In an attempt to provide relief to citizens of the State, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Relief Committee (JPCRC) on Wednesday met family members of victims who died in road accident took place in Maharashtra and assured them that the party will provide every required help to them. All the persons who died and are injured  are from Palamu District of the State.

Apart from this JPCC Spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey said that the party has constituted a committee to provide relief to commuter at highway, who are going from various places. "The Committee has provided food and water to various people of national highways and other major highways, he added.  The party has also ensured safely home return to various migrant workers who are returning from various part of the Country," said Dubey.

The party's Spokesperson has written a letter to former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi urging him to talk to his party's Central Government to provide a special package to Jharkhand to deal with the Corona crisis and intensify economic activities.

The committee's meeting held at the party headquarters in Ranchi on Wednesday reviewed the relief work being carried out the party, including the return of migrant workers during lockdown, providing help to the returning workers on the highway, providing food and grains to the needy families. JPCC Spokesperson Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo, Rajesh Gupta Chhotu, Sunny Toppo, Madan Mohan Sharma were present.

Meanwhile, Akshaya Patra Social Organisation has decided to provide food items to the poor and needy migrant laborers in Jharkhand like other states, under which a family will be provided a 21-day dry ration.  

Food and Civic Supplies Minister Rameshwar Oraon and Minority Affairs Minister Hussain Ansari gave permission for the food items being provided by Akshaya Patra and started it by distributing ration among the poor at State Government's Secretariat at Project Building. JPCC Spokesperson, Alok Kumar Dubey, Santwana Sharan of Akshaya Patra organisation. Talking to the media on the occasion Oraon said that pure and nutritious food is provided to the poor children through Mega Kitchen however Mega Kitchen in Jharkhand has not been started yet but dry ration is being provided which is undoubtedly a pious task in this epidemic.
