After a successful show of unity between its different factions, the Uttarakhand Congress has now come into an election mode. In the three day deliberations in which the top leadership of the party interacted with the Vice Presidents, general secretaries and heads of frontal organisations for three days the party leaders were unanimous that warring factions should bury the hatchet and concentrate on the assembly elections due in early 2022. On the directive of the party high command former Chief Minister and General Secretary of All India Congress (AICC) Harish Rawat, PCC president Pritam Singh, former PCC president Kishore Upadhyaya and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in state assembly Indira Hridayesh took part in deliberations. The PCC president Pritam Singh said on Thursday that the party would soon launch a programme in the state after having discussions with all the senior leaders.
