Contributions continue to reach CM relief fund

While the Government machinery continues its efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the State, various organisations and individuals continue to contribute funds to support such efforts. On Wednesday, staff of the Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation contributed their one day’s salary amounting to Rs 25.72 lakh to the CM relief fund. Forest Minister Harak Singh Rawat and the corporation managing director Monish Mullick presented the amount in cheque to the CM Trivendra Singh Rawat. They also handed over a cheque for Rs 5 lakh to the CM for the PM CARES fund on behalf of the corporation staff.

Further, religious leaders and members of the Shakya Buddhist sect contributed Rs 23 lakh to the chief minister relief fund. Members of the sect met the CM Trivendra Singh Rawat and presented the contribution in cheque to him.

Similarly, social worker and leader of the eunuch community Rajni Rawat presented a cheque for Rs 11 lakh to the CM for the relief fund. Dehradun district Panchayat vice chairman Veer Singh Chauhan contributed Rs 25,000 to the relief fund while UJVNL project director Suresh Chandra Baluni and finance director Sudhakar Badoni contributed Rs 51,000 each to the CM relief fund. Health director Dr Tripti Bahuguna contributed Rs 51,000, Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers SIIDCUL-Ranipur, Haridwar contributed Rs 7.51 lakh while the BJP state vice president Anil Goyal contributed a sum of Rs 1,02,000 to the relief fund in addition to Rs one lakh he had contributed earlier to the fund. The Sanjivani UA Civil Services Uttarakhand chairperson Nipunika Singh also contributed Rs two lakh to the CM relief fund.
