The government of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday constituted an empowered committee of senior secretary-level officials to coordinate and monitor the work of the state disaster management authority to combat the spread of coronavirus outbreak.
State chief secretary and chairman of state executive committee, revenue and disaster management authority RP Mandal issued an order under the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 to constitute the empowered committee, an official release said.
As per the order, the committee chairman will be state additional chief secretary to the chief minister Subrato Sahoo.
The other committee members include state principal secretary, commerce and industries Manoj Pingua, principal secretary agriculture Dr Maninder Kaur Dwivedi, principal secretary panchayat and rural development department Gaurav Dwivedi, secretary health and family welfare Niharika Barik Singh, secretary labour department Sonmoni Borah, secretary finance Sahla Nigar, secretary food Dr Kamalpreet Singh, secretary women and child welfare Siddharth Komal Pardeshi, secretary social welfare R Prasanna, secretary urban development and administration Alarmelmangai D and Himanshu Gupta, additional director general of police, police headquarters.
