The rate of Coronavirus transmission seems to be gradually going down in the State as with each passing day the number of infected persons is decreasing, as per the data provided by the National Health Mission (NHM), Jharkhand. Covid-19 tally in the State drew close to 99,428 on Saturday after as many as 383 people, including 86 in Ranchi, tested positive for the virus in 24 hours.
Notably, the figures of new infections in the State are on constant decline and the number of people recovering from the deadly disease is increasing at a high rate.
According to the NHM bulletin issued on Saturday out of the 383 fresh COVID cases 86 are from Ranchi district, 50 from Dhanbad, 48 from East Singhbhum, 40 from Bokaro, 28 from Garhwa, 21 from Khunti, 16 from Deoghar, 17 from Gumla, 16 from Hazaribag, 10 from Ramgarh and rest are from other districts of the State.
Jharkhand on Saturday reported two Covid deaths, and both the deaths were reported from Ranchi. The Covid mortality rate of Jharkhand, as on Saturday night, was 0.86 per cent against the national average of 1.50 per cent.
As many as 470 Covid patients recovered from the infection in Jharkhand on the day.
However, Jharkhand’s Covid recovery rate was still higher than the national average of 89.80 per cent. The Covid recovery rate in Jharkhand was 93.13 per cent on Wednesday.
The government has so far collected swab samples of around 31.03 lakh people and tested 30.87 lakh of them. Of the 30.87 lakh people tested, 98,061 were found Covid positive. At least 92,598 Covid patients have defeated the virus in the state, while 5,966 people were still infected, figures compiled by the NHM highlighted.
