Covid-19 contagion on decline in U’khand

The contagion of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) is showing clear signs of getting contained in Uttarakhand. On Tuesday only 213 fresh cases of the disease were reported by the state health department. The state now has 60957 patients of the disease with the active cases at 922. 

The department also reported the death of six patients of the disease on the day after which the death toll from the disease mounted to 1007.

The authorities discharged 422 patients of the disease after their recovery from different hospitals of the state. A total of 55610 patients have so far recovered from the disease. With increased recoveries and fewer fresh cases of the disease, the recovery rate from the disease has climbed to 91.23 percent in the state.

 The Infection Rate (IR) which is calculated by dividing the total number of patients from that of total samples tested is at 6.26 percent.

Two patients of Covid-19 succumbed to the disease at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Tuesday.

 Similarly one patient each was reported dead at Himalayan hospital Dehradun, Mahant Indiresh hospital, Sushila Tiwari government hospital and Udham Singh Nagar on the day.

The authorities reported 58 cases of Covid-19 from Dehradun, 29 from Tehri, 24 from Nainital, 21 from Pauri, 16 each from Haridwar and Uttarkashi, 12 from Udham Singh Nagar, nine from Rudraprayag, eight from Bageshwar, seven from Pithoragarh, six each from Chamoli and Champawat and one from Almora on Tuesday.

Uttarakhand now has 3865 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 922 active cases is at top of table while with 481 active cases Pauri district has jumped to second position.

Nainital has 421, Haridwar 390, Udham Singh Nagar 276, Uttarkashi 262, Tehri 221, Chamoli 188, Rudraprayag 183, Pithoragarh 178, Champawat 134 and Almora 106 active cases of the disease.

 With 103 active cases of Covid-19, Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table.
