A swab testing facility for detecting coronavirus in Baleswar district was set up in the FM Medical College Hospital premises here on Sunday.
Till now, the swab samples are sent to Bhubaneswar for testing, which is a time-consuming process.
FM Medical College Hospital Superintendent Dr Arati Behera said, “The infrastructure for conducting testing in the microbiology department is ready and the doctors and other staffs are trained now. We were to begin test from Sunday, but we are waiting for clearance.”
