The Central University of Odisha (CUO), Koraput will celebrate its 12th Foundation Day on August 29 in virtual mode. President Ram Nath Kovind and the visitor of the CUO greeted the university ahead of the event.
Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal will address the gathering with a video lecture and a message. Union Minister of Education Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel Dharmendra Pradhan and Minister of State for Education, Sanjay Dhotre will attend the programme in virtual mode and will lay the foundation stones of the academic block, library building and staff quarters of the university.
Vice-Chancellor Prof I Ramabrahmam will preside over the meeting while Principal Economic Advisor to Government of India Dr Sanjeev Sanyal will deliver the Foundation Day Lecture.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Minister of Higher Education, Arun Kumar Sahoo, Koraput MP Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka, former Chief Minister Giridhar Gamang and Chairman, University Grants Commission Prof DP Singh have greeted the university as well.
On the occasion, a souvenir commemorating the occasion will be released. The Vice-Chancellor will unfurl the CUO flag.
