Dalmia Cement suspends production

To maintain social distancing and protect the workforce from novel coronavirus (COVID 19), the Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd has suspended cement production at all its 12 manufacturing units located in nine States in the country.

The units have a combined annual capacity of 26.5 million tonnes. Commenting on the decision, company MD and CEO Mahendra Singhi said, “With its People First motto, the Dalmia Cement has risen to the calls of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and concerned Chief Ministers and decided to suspend production across all our plants. The plants will remain closed till further notice. All employees and communities living around our plant locations will be provided with any support that they may need.”
