Delhi BJP chief details relief work undertaken

Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Adesh Gupta gave a presentation on “Seva hi Sangathan” abhiyan before the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and national president JP Nadda through video conferencing in Pradesh Office and received further guidance. Around 55,520 BJP workers participated virtually.

Addressing the workers, Adesh said, “All MPs and MLAs, office-bearers, karyakartas from State-level to booth-level were involved in the service work and as a result more than 1 crore food packets, more than 31 lakh Modi kits and more than 10 lakh face masks were distributed.”

“1,617 karyakartas were engaged in service to the elderly and divyang people who live alone and worked to provide them all kinds of assistance and more than 1,000 tonnes of fodder was delivered to the cowshed, milk was made available to the children living in Seva Basti. Karyakartas inspired 106,430 people to contribute to the PM Cares Fund,” he added.

On this occasion Union Minister Harsh Vardhan, former Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel, LoP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Delhi BJP former president and MP Manoj Tiwari, MP Meenakshi Lekhi, Ramesh Bidhuri, Pravesh Sahib Singh, Hans Raj Hans, Gautam Gambhir, former Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay, National Secretary Sardar RP Singh, and other senior leaders were also present.

BJP provided Modi kits to 5,000 North-East children and assisted migrants.

“7,376 people sought help through the message help line number,” Gupta said, referring to the information received by Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary through a tweet, he said Delhi BJP went beyond the political differences at the time of crisis and sent the stuck people home on the information received from that tweet.

He also informed that 3,78,000 masks were made in the houses by Mahila Morcha. In this time of crisis, the priests and granthis of the temple were given financial assistance of Rs 5000 along with Modi kit.

Delhi BJP in association with the Delhi Police started the Mission Annivarya under which more than one lakh sanitary napkins were distributed among women and adolescent girls living in service settlements and this work is going on continuously.

Citing the example of inspirational incident, Gupta said, “National president participated in the service work of Delhi unit as a karyakarta which also boosted the morale of Delhi BJP workers. He told that from the home of National President, 500 packets were distributed daily for 90 days. He said that the karyakartas of Delhi BJP also provided all possible help to the people for medical problems. During the lockdown, when an injection was not being received for the illness of a 17-year-old child, Delhi BJP workers went 25 km away to find that injection and brought it to that child. The father of that child also wrote an emotional thank-you letter to the BJP for this.”
