An operating theatre (OT) of the Puri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) was sealed on Saturday after a doctor and a nurse tested Covid-positive.
By the order of CDMO, the OT of Gynaecology Department was shut down to prevent further spread of infection.
Many patients were sitting outside the OT and waiting for its reopening.
Last week, an intensive care unit (ICU) of the DHH had been sealed after a patient admitted to the ward was found Covid-positive.
Notably, Puri district has registered 753 Covid-19 cases with 371 active ones so far; and the virus has claimed three lives.
