To complete the ongoing projects of bypass, ring roads, flyovers in Gorakhpur, Maharajganj and Basti districts, the state government released a fund of Rs 4 crore on Saturday.
Giving this information here on Saturday afternoon, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that for Gorakhpur, Rs 2 crore had been released for Sangramour (Unwal) bypass, Rs 1 crore for Tuthiwari-Rajabari mini bridge and Maheshpuri Indo-Nepal border bypass in Maharajganj and remaining Rs 1 crore for broadening and beautification of road from NH-28 and passing through polytechnic till LD Marg.
Maurya, who holding the PWD portfolio, said that the total estimated cost of these projects was about Rs 98.40 crore and so far the government already sanctioned about Rs 62.54 crore.
He said that the head of the PWD had been directed to ensure that the work on these projects were taken up on priority and that their completion certificate should be submitted by April 30, 2021.
He also asked officials to regularly inspect the work so that quality was not compromised.
Maurya also wished people on the occasion of Guru Purnima Parv falling on Sunday and appealed to the people to follow the path shown by their gurus and contribute in the development of the country.
