Eight deaths, 443 fresh Covid cases reported in Himachal

Himachal Pradesh on Monday recorded eight deaths due to Covid-19, pushing the toll to 443, while the infection count jumped to 30156 with 443 fresh cases being reported in the state.

According to Himachal’s evening health bulletin, out of the 443 fresh cases, 109 cases were reported from Mandi, 81 from Shimla, 73 from Kullu, 71 from Lahaul and Spiti, 54 from Kangra among others.

In the last 24 hours, 539 people recovered from the virus in the state pushing the total recoveries to 22910. There were 6775 active cases till the evening, the bulletin stated.

Mandi had the highest number of active cases in the state at 1625 followed by 1517 in Shimla, 742 in Kullu, 732 in Kangra, 526 in Solan, 326 in Hamirpur.Till now, 461131 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the state, the bulletin added.A day before, the state had recorded 11 deaths due to COVID-19 and 383 positive cases.
