The Minister for Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Kamal Patel held a review meeting with the officers of the Mining Department at Mantralaya on Wednesday in connection with mining in Jabalpur and Narmadpuram divisions.
He directed the officials to employ labourers in maximum number in sand mines. Prohibit work with machine in sand mines, he added.
Patel directed the officials to follow the instructions strictly. He said that the sand mines should be videographed by drone cameras. Under any circumstances, machines should not be allowed to work.
He further directed that an FIRs should be lodged against the owners, on finding machines or dumpers on the banks of Narmada. He also instructed to follow the Mining Policy of the government in toto. Patel said that transportation of sand on royalty from the mines should be ensured only by the vehicles permitted by the RTO.
Patel directed the Director Mining Vinit Kumar Austin that provisions should be made in connection to the sale rights of sand for the farm owners, who receive sand with water flow at their land.
He told to propose necessary changes in the Mining policy. The Executive Director, Madhya Pradesh Mining Corporation Dilip Kumar was also present at the meeting.
