Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday launched the website of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and State Economic Offence Wing (EOW) www.acbeow.cg.gov.in at his official residence-cum-office on the occasion of World Anti-Corruption Day.
This is the first website of the state in Chhattisgarhi dialect.
Any person can log on to it to file a complaint and to check the status of the action taken. Helpline number 1064 and WhatsApp number 8827461064 were also launched to make it easy for people to complain regarding corruption.
A poster was released to create public awareness on the subject. The poster will be displayed in all government offices so that people may be aware and report complaints about corruption online.
On the occasion, officials and employees of EOW and ACB handed over a cheque of Rs 1.25 lakh to the Chief Minister as a contribution to the CM Relief Fund.
Baghel said now information about the actions taken by EOW/ACB against economic irregularities and corruption would be easily accessible through the website.
"This important step would tighten the administrative works as well," he said in his brief address.
The government said that taking or giving bribe, acquiring asset disproportionate to known sources of income and misusing one’s designation to embezzle government property are criminal offense.
Any complaint regarding these offenses can be filed via helpline no 1064, WhatAapp no 8827461064 or website www.acbeow.cg.gov.in or on email id compaintacbeow@gmail.com.
