Fire Detection and Alarm System was inaugurated at the High Voltage Sub-Station of Coke Oven (CO & BPP) Department of BSL by Atanu Bhowmik, Executive Director (Operations). On this occasion, Chief General Manager (Maintenance) DN Mohanty, Chief General Manager (CO & BPP) BK Tiwari, Chief General Manager (Blast Furnace) Anjani Kumar, Chief General Manager (Electrical) Ved Prakash, Chief General Manager (Safety & Fire) Services) A. Jha and other preferred officers and personnel were present.
From the security point of view, a fire detection and alarm system was required in the high voltage sub-station of CO and BPP department under category-1, for which churn was being done for a long time. Due to the installation of this system in the high voltage sub-station, the cable gallery will be able to receive timely alerts of any emergency and the security system will be highly improved.
