The first Covid death in Kendrapada district was reported on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Sumant Kumar Palei (49) of Kusumi village under Aul block, informed Collector Samarth Verma.
Palei was also suffering from co-morbid ailments. He had come from New Delhi last month and was kept in a TMC (Temporary Medical Centre) before being shifted to Covid Hospital at Cuttack-based Ashwini Hospital, where he died.
