Lohardaga MP and former Union Minister Sudarshan Bhagat on Wednesday asked people to follow the ideals of Saint Kabir. Addressing a gathering during a religious event at Saint Kabit Math Banagutu in Gumla district the MP blessed Mahant Sant Bindu Das Ji, terming him a true follower of Saint Kabir’s ideals he pledged to help the Math in all possible ways for social betterment.
Earlier in the day a small ‘satsang’ programme was organised at the Math, where the Head of Kabirpanth Peethadhishwar Aacharya Mahant Vivekdas ji was also present. He declared Sant Bindu Das, the successor of the ashram. He also made him a future mahant of the ashram by performing rituals.
He said that Saint Kabir’s teachings have become very relevant in today's time. “This is why a lot of people are attracted to Kabir. In such a situation, some people are trying to make their business out of it. Therefore, there is a need to stay away from the fraudsters in the name of Kabir. Shri Bindu Das ji is a true Kabir loving saint, Sadhguru should give him courage to run this ashram and make him fearless,” he said.
The present Mahant of this ashram, who has crossed the age of 100 years, was present in the programme. He blessed Shri Yadunandan Das ji, blessed Sant Bindu Das ji and expressed happiness at the decision of Acharya. He said that now his health is not good. Due to this, he is unable to attend Satsang programmes also.
On this occasion, Saint Dr. Bhagirathi, Dr. Ravindra Sahay, Tribhuvan ji, retired forest officer Lakshminath Baraik, who were from Kabirchaura Math Moolgadi also expressed their views.
Prof. Harish Das of Patna University, who also belongs to Siddhapeeth Kabirchaura Math Moolgadi, conducted the programme flawlessly.
