For strengthening the Covid testing capacity of Chhattisgarh, four new virology labs will be opened "very soon" in the state.
“Very soon four virology labs will be opened. The Health Department has already issued an order in this connection,” a press statement from the government said on Thursday.
The new labs will open in government medical and district hospitals in Mahasamund, Kanker, Korba and Korea districts.
The labs will felicitate RT-PCR testing. They will be set up by investing `2.5 crore. About `10 crore will be invested in their establishment. Their construction will be supported by CSR (corporate social responsibility) fund of NMDC, the release said.
