Ganesh Utsav, Moharram, Janmashtmi not to be celebrated publicly: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that in view of the Covid infection, the ensuing festivals like Ganesh Utsav, Moharram, Janmashtmi and other festivals will not be celebrated publicly. Ganesh idols will not be installed at public places and procession of Janmashtmi as well as Moharram and Taziyas will not be allowed.

Chief Minister Chouhan urged the citizens of the State to celebrate these festivals at home itself. Gathering of more than 5 people at a time at places of worships will not be permitted. The Independence Day will also be celebrated at a limited scale this time. Gathering of people will not be allowed at any place, he added.

The Chief Minister has said that home isolation should be promoted among the corona patients without symptoms, who voluntarily wish to remain at home with sufficient arrangement. Good arrangement of regular treatment and monitoring should be made during the ‘Home Isolation’. Currently, 42 people have been placed under ‘Home Isolation’ in Bhopal.

The Minister for Home Narottam Mishra, Minister for Medical Education Vishwas Sarang, Minister for Health Prabhuram Chowdhary, Minister for Urban Development and Housing Bhupendra Singh, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman and other officers took part in the video conference.

The Chief Minister has said that the recovery rate is continuously increasing and the fatality rate is declining in the state, which is a good sign. The recovery rate has reached 74.1 percent and fatality rate has come down to 2.52 percent in the State.

During the review of Singruali district, the Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that the health screening of people, moving in and out from the borders of our state should be done mandatorily. Without this, movement of people should not be allowed. New 20 cases have been found in Singruali.
