Gang duping men through marriage busted by crime branch

Crime branch Bhopal have busted eight-member gang including three women which used to dupe men by marrying and escaping with valuables; four victims have been duped by the gang who have lodged complaint.

The victims who were men and in search for brides were trapped by luring to marry and would collect hefty amount by the accused and after few days the gang members used to escape with different reasons.

The kingpin of the gang Dinesh Pandey. The gang members used fake identity cards for the marriages they have organised. They would switch off mobile phones after they would escape.

In the investigation till date four cases have surfaced and more cases would be reported said police.

The victim Kanta Prasad Nath met Hindu Singh who arranged meeting Dinesh, Pooja alias Riya and Reena alias Sultana and took Rs 85000 after Kanta agreed to marry. After around two weeks Dinesh took Riya in the name of operation of sister-in-law and later he found that he was duped.

Using the same modus operandi the gang duped Prem Singh Rajput, Rinku Kushwaha and Jagdish Meena.

The nabbed accused apart from the main accused and Pooja alias Riya were identified as Tejulal(60), Virendra Dhakad(35), Salman Khan(35), Vikram (35),  Seema Patidar alias Sheeba Khan and Reena alias Sultana.

All the women gang members are married which was found in the investigation and were paid Rs 30000 for every marriage.

The accused are involved in the fraud for long. The police registered a case under sections 419, 420, 465, 468, 471 and 120 B of the IPC.
