The State Government cannot defame a former Minister and the sitting MLA, Chandankiyari legislator Amart Bauri said on Sunday highlighting the recent news about how police intervention could be sought in making Bauri vacate his current residence.
“State Government Building Construction Department allotted me a residence at Dhurva Sector-3, F-25 on dated 14.02.2020 but it was not handed over to me by June 16, 2020, Bauri said, adding presently, repairing works are going on in the aforesaid allotted house.
In the meantime on June 30, he wrote a letter to the Secretary of the Building Construction Department, informing that the condition of the bathrooms of the allotted house is not good, it should be maintained immediately. “But so far no concrete action has been taken,” he said.
In such circumstances, the threat of evacuation of the house through police by the government and their officials is not justified, Bauri said, adding “I have been a Minister in the previous Government.”
“If the Government feels that it could vacate the house by applying strength, then they can get it done by throwing out my bag and baggage from the Government house,” Bauri said.
He said he will vacate the Government house within 24 hours of the date on which he will be handed over the accommodation allotted to him.
