State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo on Sunday said that the Jharkhand Government has completely failed to protect the interests of migrant labourers.
Shahdeo said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren had launched three schemes on May 4 to give employment to migrant laborers. ‘Birsa Green Gram Yojana’ for afforestation of more than 2 lakh acres of the Government’s land, ‘Nilambar Pitambar Jal Samridhi Yojana’ to conserve rainwater and to provide employment and to develop playgrounds in rural areas ‘Veer Shaheed Poto Ho Khel Vikas Yojana’ was launched, he added.
The Party Spokesperson said that all these plans remained confined to paper and the work that should have been done on them did not happen.
