The administration has declared a shutdown in Rajadang gram panchayat in Pallahara subdivision to contain spread of Covid-19 after a man of the neighbouring Saradhapur village tested positive of the virus three days ago and shifted to a Bhubaneswar-based Covid-19 Hospital.
The affected person has come in contact with two other persons of the gram panchayat whose families consist of 13 members.
On Pallahara Sub-Collector Ajit Pradhan’s instruction to the local BDO, the Sarpanch brought the concerned persons to an isolation centre. Later, six of them went to home quarantine due to cancer.
