Governor Baby Rani Maurya digitally inaugurated the public health center building at Narendranagar set up by the Art of Living Ashram, Rishikesh and International Association for Human Values, Bengaluru on Tuesday.
The health center will be run by the health department. Agriculture minister Subodh Uniyal was present at Narendranagar during the inauguration ceremony.Speaking on the occasion, Maurya said that local people especially rural women and children would get necessary health services timely due to opening of this health center.
She said that the health services have been pressurised during the Covid-19 pandemic. Most of hospitals and health centers are being used as Covid-19 centres across the nation.
She emphasised that patients with other diseases should also get timely treatment along with Covid patients. She stressed on the need for paying special attention to aged people, pregnant women and children. Maurya appreciated the work being done by the doctors, nurses and other para medical staff with dedication and honesty in the state.
“They are saving the lives of people through their valuable services. They are our frontline Covid warriors and we are proud of them.
During this global pandemic, Covid warriors have inspired hope and positive energy among people,” said governor. Swami Satya Chaitanya of Art of Living and others were also present on the occasion.
