Hardik Agarwal of DAV School tops Jamshedpur

Students of Steel City registered a stellar performance in the class 12th exams of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), whose results were declared on Monday. In Jamshedpur, Hardik Agarwal from DAV Public School, Bistupur was declared topper with 98.4 per cent marks in commerce. In science stream Mayank Kumar Panda of DAV Public School was declared topper with 97.2 per cent marks.

Toppers from all streams science, commerce and arts are from DAV Public School Bistupur. While science Mayank Kumar was declared the city topper scoring 97.2 % marks, he was  followed by Anjali Kumar Jha who scored 96.8 % marks and was declared the second topper in school and the city. Jasmine Saha and Jayesh Nandan with 96.6 % marks was joint third topper in the school and Steel City. Ahsen Kamal and Apurva were jointly declared the fourth city topper scoring 96.4 per cent marks.

In Commerce, Hardik Agarwal was crowned topper. Anshul Kedia with 96.8 per cent was second topper in the school and city while Ayushi Kabra was the third topper in the school and city scoring 96.4 % marks. Suhana Pandey attained fourth position in school and the city scoring 95.2 % marks.

Pragya Singh, principal of DAV Bistupur was pleased with the results as the school recorded cent per cent result. 'Both girls and boys have performed equally better. It is the hard work plus passion and dedication for achieving it that is important. The performance is improving with every passing year and we don’t just see the toppers as all the students have put in hard work,' said Singh.

In Jamshedpur around 4,000 students had appeared for the Class XII examinations from 12 steel city schools and neighbouring areas. " We are very happy with the performance of our students. As it is there was much hue and cry about moderation policy this year but I am happy about the overall results this year as it was expected," said  an official of Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya.

 Revealing his success formula, Hardik said that study on a regular basis and work regularly, for that helps ease the pressure as the exams approach.

Students of the city proved their merit in the CBSE examination and rejoiced along with the school authorities. School campuses and cyber cafes were choc-a-bloc soon after the results get declared. Students from the city have high scoring performances in the class 12 examination.
