Haryana reports 16 deaths, 1,515 fresh Covid cases

Haryana has reported 16 COVID-19 related fatalities on Sunday as 1,515 fresh cases surfaced pushing the total infections in the state to 1,23,782.

The death toll reached 1307 in the state.

In the last 24 hours, three deaths each were reported in Hisar, two fatalities each in Faridabad, Ambala, Kurukshetra and Yamunanagar and one death each in Kaithal, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Panchkula and Bhiwani, the Haryana Health Department’s evening bulletin stated.

“Out of 1515 fresh cases reported on Sunday, a big spike of 274 positive cases was reported in Gurugram. Faridabad reported 178 fresh cases, Rohtak reported 100 cases, Hisar recorded 116 cases, Sonepat 97 cases, Yamunanagar 86 cases. Out of 358 critical patients admitted in the hospitals, 306 patients were on oxygen support while 52 were on ventilator,” the health bulletin stated. The worst-affected districts in the state-Faridabad has till now reported 19301 positive cases and 215 deaths while Gurugram has reported 19928 cases and 170 fatalities due to COVID-19.

105990 patients including 2163 in the last 24 hours have recovered and have been discharged from hospitals in the state.

There were a total of 16485 active cases in Haryana till the evening, the bulletin said.

According to the bulletin, the fatality rate is recorded at 1.6 percent in Haryana. The case-doubling rate in Haryana on Sunday stood at 29 days, COVID positive rate was 6.71 per cent and recovery rate was recorded at 85.63 percent.

 As many as 18.51 lakh samples have been tested till date in Haryana. The report of 6375 samples is awaited, it added.
