Haryana Home and AYUSH Minister Anil Vij on Monday said that to popularise yoga in the State, 1000 AYUSH Assistants and 22 AYUSH Coaches will be recruited on contract basis soon in various 'Yogshalas' across the State.
Vij said that the recruitment of AYUSH Assistants for the 'Yogshalas' being set up in the State will be done by the District Level Selection Committee, which will be chaired by the Chief Executive Officer of the respective District Councils. In this Committee, the District Ayurvedic Officer will be the Member Secretary. Besides this, a representative of Deputy Commissioner, Chief Medical Officer or his representative and District Sports Officer will be included in this Committee. During the selection process, preference will be given to the candidate from the village where the Yogshala is situated or nearby village.
The Health Minister said that monthly honorarium of Rs. 11,000 will be given to AYUSH Assistants. The age limit for these AYUSH assistants will be between 18 and 35 years. Candidates must have passed class 12 examination from the Haryana School Education Board or CBSE or they must possess a diploma in Yoga from any recognized university. He said that these Ayush Assistants will work as In-charge of 'Yogshalas' and other work will also be assigned to them.
Vij informed that recruitment of 22 AYUSH Coaches will be done on a regular basis by Haryana Staff Selection Commission. But till the completion of recruitment process by Haryana Staff Selection Commission, Ayush coaches will be recruited by a State-Level Selection Committee under outsourcing Policy Part- 2. They will get a monthly honorarium of Rs 20,000. These 22 coaches will be deputed in each district.
He said that AYUSH coaches must hold a graduation degree in Yoga from a recognized university or have a certification of Level-2 from the Quality Council of India- The Yoga Institute. The age limit of these coaches will be 21 to 42 years.
