Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam will start supplying 24-hour electricity under 'Maha Gaon Jagmag Gaon' Scheme, to 123 more villages of the State from Haryana Day on November 1. Following this, 24-hour electricity will be supplied to 4878 villages of the State under this scheme, covering about 70 percent villages of the State.
Chairman, Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, Shatrujeet Kapur on Thursday said that the new 123 villages which will get the 24 hour electricity supply from November 1, includes 5 villages of Sonipat Circle, 6 of Panipat, 6 of Rohtak, 11 of Jhajjar and 37 villages of Kaithal under Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN), while 30 villages of Palwal, 18 of Narnaul, 3 of Bhiwani and 7 of Fatehabad under Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam.
He said there has been an unprecedented improvement in the line loss of rural areas under HBVN which was more than 70 percent. He said that now 24 hours electricity supply is being received in 4755 villages out of 7000 villages, which will be 4878 villages from November 1.
He said that Pachankula, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Gurugram, Faridabad, Sirsa, Rewari and Fatehabad are the districts where 24 hours electricity is already being supplied. Now 2800 villages under 605 feeders of UHBVN which include 615 of Ambala circle, 412 of Kurukshetra circle, 435 of Karnal circle, 920 of Yamunanagar circle, 39 of Panipat circle, 88 of Sonipat circle, 233 villages of Kaithal circle, 20 villages of Rohtak circle and 38 villages of Jhajjar circle will receive 24-hour electricity supply Similarly, under 591 feeders in DHBVN, 2078 villages which includes 250 of Gurugram circle, 135 of Faridabad circle, 354 of Sirsa circle, 418 of Rewari circle, 313 of Fatehabad circle, 234 of Narnaul circle, 156 of Bhiwani circle, 52 of Hisar circle, 78 villages of Palwal Circle, 3 of Jind Circle and 85 villages of Mewat Circle will be provided 24-hour power supply.
