Chief Secretary Anil Khachi held a video conference with the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police to take stock of the COVID-19 situation in the state.He emphasised that standard operating procedures (SOPs) must be enforced effectively and if required more people could be empowered to implement these SOPs.The Chief Secretary stressed on increasing the frequency of RT-PCR in the state and said that efforts should be made to bring down the COVID fatality rate below one percent. The COVID patients in home isolation should be taken care of properly and provided better facilities.
He said that the Ministers have been made in-charge of each district and they will ensure that maximum 200 people attend the social gathering including Chief Minister's and Ministers functions.He asked the Deputy Commissioners to organise the meeting of districts task force to distribute COVID vaccine when it would be available. Efforts should be made to involve more private medical practitioners to treat the COVID patients, he added.Additional Chief Secretary, Health Amitabh Awasthi also requested the DCs to get in touch with the private hospital so that when ever needed, they could be contacted.
